Boseong region has been home of Korean teas for a long time. Boseong is located on the southern edge of the Korean Peninsula near the sea, and enjoys a warmer climate. The topography, along with the year-round steady humidity and temperature has created the optimum tea cultivation environment. Daehandaeop Tourist Farm’s tea cultivation began in 1957. The Farm offers the best quality tea, and is the second biggest tea farm in size in the Republic of Korea apart from that on Jeju Island.

The tea field at the bottom of the mountain toward Bongsan-ri in Boseong-eup stretches to 1,000,000㎡. A massive cedar at the entrance fills the atmosphere with freshness. Daehandaeop Tourist Farm distributes a very Korean tea named “Bongno” to domestic tea companies. More tourists visit the Farm as popularity of Korean teas soars. Recently, more health-oriented tourists want to experience tea-leaf picking in the fresh and clean air of Boseong.
